People Making Progress, Inc., a national nonprofit organization, was founded in 2001. Our mission is to serve as a conduit and an advocate for impoverished Americans, enabling them to secure economic power, educational parity and equal access to healthcare.

Our three pronged strategy for pursuing this mission is:

1. To ensure that our children are well-educated and equipped for economic self-reliance.

2. To help adults attain economic self-sufficiency through good jobs, homeownership, entrepreneurship and wealth accumulation.

3. To ensure equal access to healthcare by eradicating all barriers to equal participation in the health and social welfare systems of America.
